What I learned at Winter Camp…

This Winter Camp was a BLAST!

How blessed are we to have spent the last moments of 2018 with our Kiowa family?

Story Time:

One of my favorite memories was helping Laura (Macs Counselor) teach Woodworking.

The first day we were sanding down fresh cut wood, a camper in our first class spent the enitre time sanding one piece so that it exposed all new wood leaving no bark. While others sanded for 5 minutes then moved straight to wood burning.

In the next class before everyone started, we walked around with that same piece of wood and everyone was AMAZED. So they sanded for half of the class and could not figure our why theirs was not as smooth.

The 3rd day this same camper was still woodburning their project, along with a second one.

As head staff at Camp, we think we are all here to teach and guide our campers.

What we learn along the way is, we are here to learn from them.

I am truly grateful for all who come through the Kiowa gates & change lives.

“No great thing is created suddenly.”

Counting down to Summer Camp,
